The Macau Wolf Warriors escaped local rivals Macau Black Bears, 94-91, to notch their second win this season in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL).

Missing the services of standout local guard Cris Shentu, the Wolf Warriors relied on the trio of Doug Herring, Julian Boyd, and Scott Ewing towed the team to a victory against the similarly top-heavy Black Bears.

Herring flirted with a triple-double after finishing with 25 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, while Julian Boyd added 26 points and 17 boards.

Trailing by six points early in the second period, the Wolf Warriors mounted a solid quarter to complete a 14-point turnaround by halftime to go ahead, 52-44, before holding off their resilient rivals in the second half to secure the win.

Scott Ewing also added 20 markers for the Wolf Warriors as he moved into the starting lineup, while Cai Chen added 13 points off the bench as the team improved to two wins against three loses in the season.

On the other hand, Black Bears star Mikh McKinney starred with 26 points, nine assists, and seven boards. His backcourt partner Kenny Manigault posted a similarly impressive line of 23 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, but ultimately came up short as they suffered their second consecutive loss.
