Few days ago, Chong Son Kung Fu grabbed their first victory against the visiting Hong Kong Eastern, and kept their home record unbeaten thus far of the season.

Although it may seems like just a 9-point loss, but the defending champion didn’t performed at their best level, except for Marcus Elliott who fouled out early of the third quarter. It was proved to be a decisive game-changer as they couldn’t had anyone to filled in that role perfectly for the remaining game.

Eastern would needs Tyler Lamb to find his consistent rhythm back, before facing off Kung Fu again within five days. They would desperately need this win, since the current league standings does not gave them any room of failure, if they wish to secure their top two playoff seat. Hence, Eastern would need both Elliott and Lamb to bring their ‘A’ game on Tuesday night.

Whereas, Mikh McKinney is shooting red-hot over the past week, in which he drilled in a total of 12 shots from deep, a conversion rate of 63 percent. To make things sound more convincing, the last three opponents that Kung Fu had faced, were all the top four seed of the league, so McKinney is definitely having a pair of boiling hot hands now.

Besides, the heavy schedule didn’t seemed to crush the potential stamina issue of the players, but instead, generate a great momentum for them to get extra focus on the coming games. They are expected to play in the same fire-power in front of their home crowd, and hopefully bring their unbeaten home record into playoff.

Key Individual Match-Up(s)

Mikh McKinney VS Marcus ElliottĀ

Before the reigning World Import MVP- Marcus Elliott fouled out of the game, he had a team high 24 points, and 23 of those were scored during the first half. Elliott was single handed carried his entire team just like his previous dominant season, but the absence of him allowed the opposing guards to had slide edge against his teammates during the fourth quarter. He would certainly looks for a sweet revenge for himself and the team, to re-establish their dominance within the league.

Although Anthony Tucker would still be a huge threat to Eastern, but it seems like they have to restructure their defensive strategy to guard Mikh McKinney based on his recent few games. The Fil-American’s crafty ball handling skill and quick driving to the paint would still be his signature moves to break down Eastern’s extraordinary defense. Moreover, he is also averaging 9-dimes during the recent three games winning streak, so the damage he does is more than just one dimensional.

Luo Yong Xuan VS Lee Ki

During their recent head-to-head game, Luo Yong Xuan had a breakout game on the offensive end, which he only missed one of his seven attempts on the field. He did what he does best on making open shots whenever he received the ball, whereby Lee Ki couldn’t connect much during the game. The Hong Kong national team guard did extremely well on the defensive end, especially after Elliott went out of the game, but Eastern would also needs him to be the threatening two-way player in order to win this game.
