The Formosa Dreamers secured the first seed going into the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) playoffs as they defeat the Wolf Warriors on the road, 99-88.

The Wolf Warriors briefly gave the Dreamers a scare in the third quarter, where they outscored the visiting team to cut their deficit down to eight, after trailing by as much as 24 at one point during the first half.

However, the Dreamers quickly answered back with a 7-0 run to open the final period to extend the lead back to 15, and never looked back as they extended their streak to an impressive ninth-straight victory.

The Dreamers’ import trio of Tevin Glass, Malcolm Miller, and Will Artino remained consistent against the Wolf Warriors, scoring 24, 23, and 21 points, respectively.

Meanwhile, local MVP candidate Cai Chen led all scorers with 34 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the home team. Imports Mike Bell and Corey Bradford added a combined 35 points in the loss.

With the win, the Dreamers have clinched home court advantage throughout the postseason no matter the outcome of their next assignment, as they have a 3-1 season series edge over the defending champions San Miguel Alab Pilipinas even if they tie for first place.

Formosa ends their regular season when they visit the Westports Malaysia Dragons on March 24, while the Wolf Warriors close their debut season on the road against Hong Kong Eastern on the 24th.
