Formosa Dreamers continues to reshuffle their roster after signing former ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) World Import MVP Anthony Tucker.
Coming in to replace Canadian center Liam McMorrow is European league veteran big man Jordan Tolbert.
The 27 year-old American center last suited up for Caen Basket Calvados in France’s Pro B League, where he averaged 11.6 points, 9 boards and 1.3 steals in 29 outings last season.
Tolbert is well regarded as a mobile big who can run and score in transition. A partnership with new teammates Tucker and Jerran Young would certainly get the Taiwanese fans something to look forward in the on-going ABL season.
The Dreamers started their third ABL season with a poor 1-3 start, with the lack of chemistry and new coaching system being two key factors bothering last season’s top seeded team. The signings of Tucker and Tolbert are expected to turn the pace faster, which favors head coach Kyle Julius’s preference.
Tolbert will be suiting up his first game as a Dreamer when the Dreamers face the Taipei Fubon Braves at home on December 21 in the second meeting of the minted rivalry Taiwan Tussle.
