Thai-American Freddie Goldstein will be returning to the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL), signing on with the Mono Vampire Basketball Club.

After much speculation in recent weeks about the potential partnership, the Thai club officially confirmed the addition of Goldstein today, announcing his addition to the team through their social media channels.

Goldstein, who was listed as Freddie Lish last season when he played 20 games for the CLS Knights Indonesia as a heritage import, will be playing in his fourth year in the league after previously seeing action for Hitech Bangkok City and the Westports Malaysia Dragons.

Sporting career averages of 14.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game in the ABL, the high-scoring combo guard is now able to join Mono Vampire as a local after the league relaxed the eligibility rules beginning this season.

Last season’s runners-up are struggling early in the season (currently at 1-4), and could be willing to use Goldstein with the second unit as an extra scoring punch off the bench. Tones & Definition provides us with a comprehensive break down on the signing.

“I’m happy to be a part of the Mono organization,” gushed the 30-year-old gunner. “I’m here to fulfill whatever my job requires. Starter, off the bench, I’m going to give my 100 percent. Just glad to go to war with good guys.”

Goldstein could debut as early as December 22 when Mono Vampire travels to take on the Saigon Heat in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
