The New Year signals a new beginning for Tanduay Alab Pilipinas in its ABL campaign. Just as everyone was celebrating in welcoming 2018, famous import-agent Sheryl Reyes and Alab Pilipinas team owner Charlie Dy made a surprise announcement on their respective social media accounts about the signing of 2-time PBA champion Justin Brownlee and ex-SMB/Petron Blaze import Renaldo Balkman as the team’s new world imports.

The duo will replace Reggie Okosa and Ivan Johnson after the Alab had a dismal start, winning only once in its first four games.

Brownlee, fresh from leading Barangay Ginebra to a back-to-back PBA Governor’s Cup championship just a few months ago will have a chance to play again in the Philippines and could help Alab with his scoring and championship experience. As for Balkman, the former NBA-player will have a chance to redeem himself after a forgettable stint in the PBA in 2013, where he made a major outburst that led to his banning from the league.

Alab will return to court on January 3, 2018, going up as the host against new –look Westports Malaysia Dragons at the Fil Oil Flying V Centre in San Juan City, Manila.
