Hitech Bangkok City fell to 0-2 after suffering a 97-80 blowout at the hands of Muharraq at the 2019 FIBA Asia Champions Cup in Nonthaburi, Thailand.

The game was already pretty much out of reach for Hitech after three quarter after the Bahraini club outscored them by 20 points in the second period, which dug them a 28-point hole going into halftime.

Imports Kevin Murphy and Michael Harris combined for 61 points off an efficient 57 percent shooting from the field, while Filipino-Bahraini guard Bader Malabes added 14 points for Muharraq in the win.

Meanwhile, Nino Johnson led Hitech with 26 points and 13 boards, while fellow import Xavier Alexander added 13 points and 6 rebounds for Hitech, who are now out of the running for a slot in the knockout semifinal round after falling to fourth place in Group A.

Hitech Bangkok City plays their final group phase match of the 2019 FIBA Asia Champions Cup tomorrow, September 25 at 1900H (GMT+7) against Iran’s Naft Abandan BC at Stadium 29 in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
