The Postponement of the 2018 Malaysia Pro League

MABA reasserts that the decision to postpone the league to 2019 was made as a result of difficulties in accommodating each participating teams schedule as well as a congestion in the Malaysian Basketball calendar and not due to a lack of teams participating. MABA regrets the postponement and took the opportunity to apologize to the team owners and fans. They agreed to take this incident as a learning experience and target to set the 2019 basketball calendar earlier with renewed vigor to ensure that all planned events take place as scheduled. The tentative date for the 2019 MPL would be within a month of the conclusion of the 2018/2019 ASEAN Basketball League Season.
