Aside from the high-level competition, a lot of basketball fans also look forward to seeing their favorite athlete’s sneaker game. @kicksmvp checks out some of the top pairs worn on court during the regular season of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL).

Some athletes prefer substance over style, but you gotta hand it to those who can do both. A couple of guys pulled out some fire retros, while others rocked the newest silhouettes. We made sure you see most of the eye-catching colorways worn, so check out the list to see if you agree with what caught our attention this season.

1. Nike Air Max CB34

Renaldo Balkman, Alab Pilipinas

After four unique appearances on the page, we gotta hand the regular season @kicksmvp to Alab Pilipinas’ Renaldo Balkman. He ain’t no Round Mound of Rebound, but the former NBA veteran was killing it both in the statsheets and in the style department, especially when he wore the clean but mean retro release of the Nike CB34 II “Suns” during one of the longest win-streaks in league history.

Two guys also came pretty close to the top: the reigning local MVP Bobby Ray Parks Jr. of Alab Pilipinas made a strong case after wearing three different colorways of the Nike Zoom Kobe III retros, while Indonesian sharpshooter Sandy Febiansyakh showed us a slew of 2008 Hyperdunks and the latest Jordan silhouettes.

The regular season of the ABL may have been over, but we still have the entire postseason to spot more on-feet fire. Did you think nobody was looking? Let us know what we missed.
