The top three Southeast Asian National Teams will battle each other in the same group in first-ever Qualifiers for the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup.
Perennial ASEAN medallists Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand will face off against each other in Group A, where they will be joined by powerhouse South Korea.
Meanwhile, the only other Southeast Asian team Malaysia, will have their hands full against the other three East Asian giants China, Japan, and Chinese Taipei in Group B.
All teams in each division are set to face each other in a round-robin, home-and-away format spread out between four windows.

At the end of the Qualifiers, the top two teams from each Group will directly qualify for the FIBA Asia Cup 2021.
On the other hand, the six 3rd-placed teams will advance to play a qualifying tournament for the remaining four FIBA Asia Cup 2021 slots.
