“The Passion” scored an impressive unanimous decision win over “Nobita” in an epic rematch on Saturday night for ONE Championship 80: Conquest of Heroes in Jakarta.

Laying the ghost of his first defeat to rest, Joshua Pacio learned from his first meeting against Yoshitaka Naito in October 2016, avenging his defeat to the Japanese champion in dominating fashion.

From the get go, the Filipino and Team Lakay fighter displayed a brilliant grappling game which helped him to finally become a world champion. Despite some semblance of a silver lining through his ground game during the fight from the former champion Naito, it was not enough to contain an aggressive Pacio.

After all was said and done, Joshua Pacio was crowned ONE Championship’s newest Strawweight champion and became the latest Filipino mixed martial arts title holder.
