The Liaoning Flying Leopards outlasted the Seoul SK Knights in a 83-82 nailbiter to win the East Asia Super League 2019 Terrific 12 championship.

Fan favorite and former NBA veteran Lance Stephenson was named as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, scoring 35 points to go with eight rebounds and four assists during the final to help lead his team to the win the title.

The Knights led by as much as 10 points early in the second quarter, but the Flying Leopards slowly chipped it down and remained within striking distance throughout the second half before securing the victory in the final minute.

The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) club finished the tournament undefeated after going 4-0, dealing the South Korean squad their first defeat in Macau this year.

Tunisian center Salah Mejri helped Liaoning with 19 points and seven boards, while local forward Cong Mingchen contributed 13 markers in the close win.

On the other hand, Seoul imports Jameel Warney and Aaron Haynes combined for 62 points and 30 rebounds in the losing effort, but had little help apart from South Korean national team guard Kim Sun Hyung who added 11.
