Lawrence Domingo was one of the most relentless rebounders and inside presences during his rookie year in the ASEAN Basketball League, averaging a solid 10 points and 10 rebounds per game for Alab Pilipinas.

Early this season, he got less touches and also saw his minutes drop to less than 17 per game. For these reasons, he breathed a sigh of relief after playing one of his best games of the season against the Saigon Heat, where he scored 14 points off 7-of-9 shooting while grabbing four offensive boards and adding one steal in 30 minutes of play.

Prior to the Heat game, he was only averaging a little over four points and less than four rebounds per contest, never having reached double-figures in scoring during the first eight games.

“I think this game is one to build off for sure, but to me, I think it’s more about me finding what this team needs me to do to help give us the best chance to win,” said Domingo on his bounce back game.

He hopes to continue to contribute for the Alab side on both offense and defense, especially before going up against one of the top teams in the current number two ranked Chongson Kung Fu.

“More so finding a way mesh in with this great group of guys we have here to form what could be great team.”

Alab Pilipinas hosts Chong Son at the Sta Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex in Laguna, Philippines at 8 PM.
