Another team has made a change to beef up their import roster in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL).
The Wolf Warriors became the fourth team to switch imports in the new year as they officially replaced point guard Eric Tisby with one-time Los Angeles Clipper Mike Taylor.
Most recently suiting up for Anyang KGC in the Korean Basketball League (KBL), Taylor brings his vast experience of playing internationally in Serbia, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey, Lebanon, and Qatar, apart from multiple stints in the NBA D-League (now known as the G League).
The 32-year-old American point guard was the first player in NBA history to be drafted from the D-League when the Portland Trail Blazers picked him 55th overall during the 2008 draft. He will be joining local standouts Cai Chen and Jenning Leung, and fellow NBA veteran Eddy Curry as they look to try help lift the Wolf Warriors out of the bottom spot, who had so far only won a game in nine tries.
The Wolf Warriors join the Saigon Heat (Trevon Hughes reactivated in place of DeAngelo Hamilton), Hong Kong Eastern (O’Darien Bassett replacing Eric Ferguson), Mono Vampire (Malcolm White replacing Chris Charles), and the CLS Knights (Douglas Herring Jr. and Darryl Watkins for Montay Brandon and Stephen Hurt) as teams who shook-up their import rosters during the holiday break..
Taylor is set to debut for the Wolf Warriors when they play on the road against San Miguel Alab Pilipinas on January 6 in Cebu, Philippines.
