ONE Championship will set foot in Vietnam for its first full Super Series card and first major event in the country, with five hometown warriors slated for the global spotlight September 6 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Leading the pack of hometown hopefuls is Women’s Atomweight fighter Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen, who will be looking to get back into the win column after coming off a close split-decision MMA defeat against Bozhena Antoniyar in her last ONE Championship outing. Her Immortal Triumph bout will be a Muay Thai battle with India’s Puja Tomar, who should be riding high after a morale boosting win over Indonesia’s Piscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol in January.

Meanwhile, four other Vietnamese athletes have planned matchups in Muay Thai and kickboxing. Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat will meet Malaysia’s Azwan Che Wil in a flyweight Muay Thai bout, while Vietnamese-Australian Chris Nguyen is set to battle against Japan’s Yukinori Ogasawara in the same martial arts discipline and division.

Completing the card’s Vietnamese cast are Michael Pham and Nguyen Thanh Tung. Pham is scheduled to face off with Malaysia’s Mohamad Fakri Bin Yusoff in a featherweight Muay Thai clash and Nguyen will meet Pakistan’s Shahzaib Rindh in a featherweight kickboxing showcase.

Lastly, the night’s main event promises a downpour of heavy strikes as Muay Thai legend Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will look to defend his ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai title for the second time after being crowned earlier this year against a formidable opponent in Algeria’s Brice Delval.
